400+ Salesforce reports a month, delivered without a human touch
Sales lived in Salesforce and finance lived in the warehouse, and the two never agreed. We built a reporting pipeline that pulls both, reconciles them overnight, and renders more than 400 reports a month, pipeline, activity, and movement, in every inbox before the workday starts.

01The problem
Most firms keep two versions of the truth. The CRM says one thing about pipeline and revenue. The warehouse, which feeds the books, says another. Neither is wrong on purpose. Deals get edited after the fact, stages drift, and records that exist in one system never make it to the other.
So every Monday someone exports both, pastes them into a spreadsheet, and tries to make them match. That work is slow, it is manual, and it is repeated forever. Numbers get retyped, and retyped numbers get typos.
- Leadership asks a simple question, "what is the pipeline," and gets two answers.
- Reports arrive mid-morning at best, built by hand, already stale.
- Nobody fully trusts the numbers, so every meeting starts with a debate about the data instead of a decision.
02What we built
A nightly pipeline that pulls every relevant object out of Salesforce, opportunities, activities, owners, stage history, and lands it in the data warehouse alongside the financial records that were already there.
Reconciliation runs next. The system matches CRM deals to warehouse records, flags anything that appears in one system but not the other, and flags amounts that disagree. Mismatches go on an exception list with the fields that differ, so fixing the source data takes minutes instead of an afternoon of hunting.
Then the reporting layer builds the outputs: pipeline by stage and owner, activity summaries, and movement since yesterday. The finished reports are rendered and emailed automatically. No exports, no pasting, no numbers retyped by a person at any step.
- Scheduled extraction from Salesforce into the warehouse, every night, without human involvement.
- Automated matching between CRM and financial records, with a clear exception list for anything that does not tie out.
- Reports generated and delivered by email before the team logs in.
03What changed
The system now renders more than 400 reports a month, pipeline by stage and owner, activity summaries, movement since yesterday, each one in the right inbox by 7 AM. Before anyone logs in, the whole team is looking at the same pipeline and the same numbers finance will use.
Zero numbers are retyped. The path from Salesforce to the warehouse to the report is fully automated, so the copy-paste errors that used to creep in simply cannot happen.
The CRM and the warehouse now reconcile. When they disagree, the system says so the same night and points at the exact records, so discrepancies get fixed while they are small instead of surfacing at month end.
Meetings changed too. The data debate is gone. People open the report, see the same story, and spend the time on what to do about it.
A real engagement, anonymized. Client details are withheld under confidentiality.
